Background and Accession
- Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Muiz’zaddin Wad’daulah became the 29th Sultan of Brunei after his father, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III, voluntarily abdicated on 4 October 1967.

The Crowning
